North Lake has been a bit slower this month with those easterly winds continuing. Bob Keywood had a nice Mirror of 36lb 6oz. Steve Coleman had a Mirror 35lb 4oz on cell, Simon Jackson also had a Mirror of 34lb 12oz on cell & Matt Parcell had a Ghostie of 23lb 6oz on cell. Tom Wilkins had a Ghostie 20lb 10oz on cell & a Common of 24lb on strawberry boilies. Bill Brown from Ashford had a 40lb 3oz Mirror on Elphicks Reds. Tim Carter using cell had a Mirror of 21lb 15oz, Paul Carter using a homemade popup had a Mirror of 25lb 15oz. & Andy Ward using bloodworm boilie had a Mirror of 30lb 2oz. Paul Clark fishing boilie bottom baits had 3 x Commons 26lb 5oz, 25lb 8oz & 25lb 2oz, and 2 x Mirrors 35lb & 23lb 8oz. Now the weather has warmed up a bit & the water temperature is on the rise so we should start seeing some nice fish on the move.

Plantation Lake has also turned up a few nice fish considering the weather. Tim Carter using cell had a 26lb 12oz Mirror. Tom Clemens using red maggot had 2 x Commons of 27lb & 21lb a Ghostie of 22lb, 3 x Mirrors of 24lb, 25lb & 37lb 5oz. & a fully scaled Mirror of 31lb. Graham Robinson using cell had 2 x Commons 32lb 10oz & 32lb and 2 x Mirrors of 30lb 12oz & 30lb. Matt Angier using robin reds had a Mirror of 28lb.

Prairie Lake continues to fish well. Matthew Colegate using halibut pellets & white chocolate boilies had 6 x Carp between 7lb & 12lb 6oz. Richard Stow using cell & Elphicks reds had 7 x Mirrors between 13lb 6oz & 20lb 1oz. Simon Gesese had 2 x Mirrors of 9lb 8oz & 14lb 6oz. Steve Townsend using cell had 4 x Mirrors between 15lb & 25lb. Nick Deakin using reds tempted a Mirror of 23lb. Lee Watts using corn had 4 x Mirrors to 18lb. James Whitcher had a good session with 4 x Commons between 15lb & 22lb and 4 x Mirrors between 14lb & 26lb. Kriss Baxter had 2 x mirrors of 6lb & 11lb, Grant Adams had a mirror of 13lb. John Adams had 8 x Mirrors between 7lb & 18lb.Ollie Batehup and his mate Declan had 4 x Mirrors between 12lb & 18lb 9oz on a mixture of club & cream and Elphicks No1’s & reds. Junior angler Curtis Evans aged 10 went home with a big grin on his face using flavored pop-ups had 27 x carp up to 19lb 2oz including a PB Mirror & PB Common.

Sandwich Lake is fishing very well at the moment with most anglers having good bags of fish with Roach up to 2lb, Bream to 3lb, Small Carp to 6lb and some nice Crucians up to 2lb. Apollo angling club had a match on Saturday 13^th April all anglers caught good bags with the top three weights being 53lb, 51lb & 46lb respectively.

Kettles Lake is also fishing well Aide White using boilie & corn had 1 x Common 9lb 4oz & 2 x Mirrors 8lb & 11lb 1oz. Aiden Hedger using fluoro pink pop-up had a Mirror of 14lb 10oz. & dad Paul Hedger using homemade boilies had 4 x Carp up to 17lb. Simon Wells using maggots & reds had 5 x Carp between 7lb & 14lb. Dave & Sean Bristow using cell had 12 x Carp between 10lb 9oz & 20lb. Adam Perkins using boilie had a Mirror of 8lb. Darren Muirhead had a Mirror of 15lb 6oz on top banana boilie. Simon Farmer using reds & maggots had 3 x Commons of 7lb, 9lb & 11lb and 2 x Mirrors of 18lb & 14lb.

Pullens Lake is starting to pick up a bit now. Danny Arnold using popup corn had a nice Mirror weighing 41lb 6oz. Jon Moss using boilie & corn had 2 Mirrors 24lb 8oz & 21lb 8oz. and a Common of 26lb. Chris Noble using yellow pop-ups had 8 x Mirrors 36lb 12oz, 34lb 6oz, 33lb 4oz, 32lb 10oz, 27lb 12oz, 26lb 2oz, 25lb & 24lb 8oz. Cliff Kemp had a Mirror 33lb 7oz, A Lees had a Mirror 22lb 8oz and S Dunk had 2 x Mirrors 24lb & 26lb

West End has slowed down a bit this month with strong easterly winds & freezing temperatures. Adam Chantler managed to find 3 x nice Mirrors of 41lb, 26lb 12oz & 22lb 8oz. Peter Rawlins using reds managed to find 2 x Mirrors of 38lb & 33lb 6oz. With the weather now turning milder the fishing in this lake is bound to improve
