UNHOOKING  MATS MUST NOW BE USED ON ALL OUR LAKES

NORTH LAKE

Adult Only (Minimum tackle requirements apply*)

North Lake has started to come to life as the ice starts to retreat.
Chris Chillem had a 6 hour session with us and had a 26lb ghost and also a mirror of 54lb 4oz. Mr Tippin had a mirror of 27lb. Ray Hardins netted a mirror to 27lb 6oz. Kirk Bullen  had mirrors of 29lb, 28lb, 24lb, 20lb, and 20lb, all on tutti fruity boilies. Martin Filer had a 31lb 8oz mirror and Mark Chandler had mirrors of 23lb and 21lb. Daren Kerwin landed a 28lb ghost and a 33lb mirror .
Well done to all those that have braved the weather over the last month or so.
Don’t forget to fill in the catch report book before you leave and send in those photos.

*Minimum tackle requirements: 42” net, 42” unhooking mat, 2.5lb T.C rods and 10lb line per angler, no sharing allowed. Pre-booking for, 24 hour plus, weekend sessions on North Lake is advisable 6 weeks in advance.

 

PLANTATION LAKE

This lake is still on the slow side as it does not take a lot for it to freeze. Ad had a 24lb mirror in between the ice. Robert Long had an 18lb common from the edge of the ice on a smell fruit boilie and a handful of hemp

PRAIRIE LAKE

Prairie has slowed as the water temperature has yet to reach 3 degess. Alfie May had a 7lb common and a 9lb mirror. Reese Thwaites netted a mirror of 6lb and M.Todd had a nice 7lb 8oz mirror.
Well done lads for braving those conditions.

SANDWICH LAKE

Sandwich lake seems to have switched on for Perch in these cold conditions. N Porritt had a 2lb perch on worm as did Joe Bridle (aged 12). His perch went 1lb 8oz, 3lb and a great 3lb3oz specimen. Some nice roach between 1lb and 2lb also coming out.
Chopped worm and maggot seems the way to go.
 Most of the fish being caught no more than a rod length out.

KETTLES LAKE

Kettles is still fishing even when half covered in ice.
Kieth Jones had a 14lb mirror and a10lb leather. Dave Clarke had 14lb of perch , 4 of them over 2lb. Mr. Greenwood 3 perch of 3lb and 4 of 2lb he also had roach of 2lb.

PULLENS LAKE

This lake has stayed frozen for all of January and the start of February. For those of you that have managed to fish it, well done for trying in those harsh conditions. As of yet, no fish to report.

WEST END LAKE

This lake has also stayed frozen as long as Pullens. Well done to those that have risen to the challenge. D Sams having the only carp so far this year at 29lbs.
