Plantation Lake*

20/07 2005

Some really good sessions have been had on Plantation recently with loads of multiple 20lb plus fish being banked, there is rumour of a 30lb mirror but we have yet to confirm this. Still no pushover, you will have to work for your fish on Plantation.

A new angler to Plantation managed a 17, 19, 21 and 23lb mirror on his first day, good start! Corn and Maize remain firm favourites. Cast to fish that are showing.

* Minimum tackle requirements are a 30” net and an un-hooking mat per angler.

Prairie Lake

20/07 2005

Still lots of surface sport to crust, mixer or expander pellet. The fish are responding to big beds of ground-bait and/or loose fed pellet. Early morning and evening are the real times to haul on Prairie. Still several big Perch being taken with Russel Dean from Swanley netting a 4lb 7oz Stripy on pellet.

Sandwich Lake

20/07 2005

Lots of Bream, Chubb, Roach, Rudd and Dace are coming out with natural baits working well at present. Small hooks, light line and use plenty of ground bait (little and often) to keep interest in your swim.

There is some great Bream and Tench fishing to be had at the moment with big bags making a regular appearance. Watch the surface for big Orfe and Rudd. There are no matches now until September.
